Calpine said it will sell four power plants in the PJM Interconnection totaling 3,546 MW in an effort to allay concerns that Constellation Energy's (NASDAQ:CEG) plan to buy the company could use its market power to affect power prices,

Calpine plans to sell four “valuable” power plants in the PJM Interconnection’s eastern region through a solicitation process, the company told FERC.

The Texas power grid managed by ERCOT performed admirably during this week's major winter weather event which brought blizzard conditions to the Gulf Coast.
