This year EEE was found in 20 samples, and West Nile virus was found in 16 samples. There was one confirmed case of human EEE and six confirmed human cases of West Nile virus.

There have been 29 human cases of the disease. In additional to WNV, the state has confirmed 14 cases of Eastern Equine Encephalitis in animals and three cases of Jamestown Canyon Virus in humans.
