Firefighters are battling a new brush fire that erupted along the 405 Freeway in Seal Beach, as they also race to contain the Hughes Fire near Castaic Lake.
The blaze, dubbed the Baldy Fire, broke out just after 1 p.m. Thursday along the northbound 15 Freeway. Firefighters held it to about 2 acres in size.
