Microsoft outage leaves thousands of users without access to email and apps
Users have experienced off-and-on issues with Outlook in recent weeks. The software company has previously experienced massive global outages, which took more than a few hours to resolve, in 2023 and 2024. On November 26, Outlook and Teams services were restored after more than 24 hours of technical delays.
Thousands report outage affecting Microsoft services like Outlook
Microsoft said is investigating an issue Saturday where users could not access their Outlook email and 365 services. The outage was reported by users Saturday afternoon. Downdetector data reflected at least 25,000 reported outages as of 4:15 p.m. ET Saturday. Some users attempting to log in to Microsoft Outlook received an error message.
Several Microsoft programs, including Microsoft 365 and Outlook, experienced outages on Saturday, according to Downdetector.
