Pope Francis has gone fully electric for his next installment of the Pope-mobil, which was revealed at the Vatican on Wednesday.

The Vatican on Wednesday unveiled a new open-top popemobile, an all-electric Mercedes-Benz that Pope Francis will use when he greets pilgrims in St. Peter's Square. The vehicle, a modified version of the German company's G-Class mid-size luxury SUV,

The Popemobile might not be as famous as the Batmobile, but it's right up there. And for the first time, the newest rendition of the vehicle that will carry Pope Francis to his public appearances is all-electric and emissions-free.
