Rain is likely returning to Southern California next week while cooler temperatures and dry weather fueled by the current low-pressure system are expected to last at least through Thursday, the National Weather Service reports.

Southern California will continue to face "dangerous fire weather conditions" including strong Santa Ana winds and extremely low humidity through later this week, forecasters said Tuesday.
