Some industry giants are building so-called super clusters of computer servers that cost billions of dollars and contain unprecedented numbers of Nvidia’s most advanced chips.

According to Nvidia, 13,000 Blackwell chips have already shipped to customers. Customers will test the chips and prepare for the shipments they expect in the coming months. Blackwell chips will be shipped in server racks and chip-only configurations.

Startups as well as traditional rivals are pitching more inference-friendly chips as Nvidia focuses on meeting the huge demand from bigger tech companies for its higher-end hardware.
