After being dealt to Dallas in the Luka Doncic trade, Anthony Davis had a string of misfortune with the Mavericks. Already dealing with an abdominal injury upon arrival, Davis also had to have surgery on a detached retina in the offseason after getting injured toward the end of the season.

Anthony Davis has undergone an offseason surgery to repair a detached retina, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported Tuesday. The Mavericks big man, according to Charania, played through the injury last season and is expected to be available for the start of training camp ahead of the 2025-26 season.
