Around 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, FHP said a woman driving a Chevy Tahoe lost control of the car on U.S. 41. Troopers said the SUV hit a chain link fence and then hit a parked car outside the towing office.

An 18-year-old from Bradenton was arrested after troopers say he hit a pedestrian and then didn't stay at the deadly crash site. It happened around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday on U.S. 41 (14th Street West) and 66th Avenue West in Manatee County.

A pedestrian died Monday in San Jose after being struck in a hit-and-run collision, and police later tracked down the driver, who they say left the scene to seek treatment for injuries related to the crash.
