Finland’s Summa Defence Oy will start producing drones in the Nordic country in an effort to support Ukraine’s fight against Russia.

The Finnish defence and security group will work with Ukrainian drone companies to speed up production of platforms for Ukraine and across the European Union (EU) and NATO countries. Finland’s Summa Defence is to build a facility to manufacture uncrewed vehicles in Finland in collaboration with Ukrainian partners.

A drone manufacturing company will appear in Finland. It will cover the drone needs of Ukraine and the EU, according to Summa Defence. The main goal of the new plant is to rapidly expand the production capacity for drones used in the Ukrainian military,
