Another round of showers and storms is likely as we head into our Thursday bringing periods of heavy rain and frequent lightning.

THURSDAY: Rain chances have been removed for Thursday and humidity is expected to take a quick dip down. Mostly sunny skies can be expected. High 83F. Low 64F. Wind NW at 5 mph.
Police were called to the crash just before 1 a.m. Wednesday near 43rd and Burdette streets. First Alert 6 is told by police dispatch that the victim’s injuries are not life-threatening.The Omaha Police Department has arrested a man in connection to a murder on July 4.
Heat and humidity remain the big story today. Temperatures will climb into the lower to mid-90s and will feel even hotter due to the humidity. Expect a mix of sun and clouds, with scattered to isolated showers and storms developing this afternoon. Winds will be out of the west around 5 mph.
Developing high pressure will keep our weather a little quieter and therefore a little hotter for the next couple of days, before storm chances start to ramp up again by the weekend.
