BCCI could sack coach India coach Gautam Gambhir if the team fails to do well in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. VVS Laxman would take over as India's head coach for Tests while Gambhir would take charge as white-ball coach if the Australia tour didn't go as planned.

According to a report in Dainik Jagran, VVS Laxman can get the charge of India's Test team, whereas Gambhir will continue to work with white-ball teams.
