The Indian Embassy in Kuwait has intervened and come to the rescue of around 60 Indian passengers travelling via a flight from Mumbai to England's Manchester, who got stranded at Kuwait airport for 13 hours after their Gulf Air flight made an emergency landing.

Passengers were accommodated in two airport lounges, and food and water were made available to them, as per the embassy

The statement added that the embassy team was on the ground till the flight departed.

The Gulf Air flight departed with the grounded passengers at 04:34 am (local time) on December 2 from Kuwait, according to a statement by India Embassy in Kuwait.
