New Orleans Saints rookie quarterback Hunter Dekkers will be wearing the same jersey number that Spencer Rattler used last year.

The Saints signed quarterback Hunter Dekkers on Tuesday following a tryout at rookie minicamp over the weekend. The Saints now have four quarterbacks under the age of 27 following Derek Carr's retirement announcement Saturday.

Hunter Dekkers has found a landing spot in the NFL. The former Iowa State football and Iowa Western quarterback signed with the New Orleans Saints on Tuesday, May 13, according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. The news comes on the heels of Saints starting quarterback Derek Carr's surprise retirement announcement this month.
