New York Jets general manager Joe Douglas received a sign from above shortly before the team fired him. Douglas was fired on Tuesday after five-plus seasons with the Jets.

The move follows the firing of coach Robert Saleh and signals further change may be in store, bringing quarterback Aaron Rodgers’s future into question.

Among questionable moves made by the Jets under Douglas’ watch is the acquisition of wide receiver Davante Adams. While Adams has had moments, New York has still only won one game since Saleh was fired.
