A Parkersburg woman and a Parkersburg High School graduate and West Virginia University marching band member accomplished their dreams recently by participating in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

NEW YORK -- A giant, golden Thanksgiving turkey in a top hat rode on a float through confetti in the colors of fall leaves. A muscular Spider-Man balloon floated in the air, crouched in a web-spinning pose. From a sled piled high with presents, Santa Claus waved to spectators.

Rain may have dampened the streets at this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City, but it certainly didn't dampen the spirit of the holiday. For a 10th year in a row, Ram trucks returned as the official truck of the iconic parade. The automaker put 75 Ram trucks and vans to work to support various aspects of the event.
