Starring Nicholas Hoult, Juror #2 lands on Max on December 20 and follows a man serving on the jury of a high-profile murder trial. During the trial, he struggles with a dilemma that could change the jury's minds and potentially convict (or free) the wrong killer.

Even though HBO Max was rebranded to Max a while ago, its nature of offering monthly releases to viewers has not changed. As a result, like every other month, some of the best TV shows are heading to Max this December.

This classic written by Steven Spielberg never gets old, and Max subscribers will get to revisit it after it lands on the platform. The Goonies follows the titular group as they rally to save their town from getting remodeled into a golf course.

What's surprising is the seven movies I've found that are rated 95% or higher on Rotten Tomatoes. It's not surprising that Max added so many highly rated movies — far from it. But these seven movies are all movies that you'd consider classics. None of them are more recent than 1944.

In addition to four festive new Christmas films that landed on Netflix last month, several new films, including many that originally debuted in theaters, will be available to stream in December 2024.
