The Premier League released a statement on Saturday explaining why a penalty was not awarded against Manchester United at the end of their 2-2 draw at Everton. Referee Andy Madley had initially pointed to the spot after Ashley Young was brought down by a combination of Harry Maguire and Matthijs de Ligt.
