Rafael Devers homered and drove in two runs, and five Boston pitchers combined for a five-hit shutout as the Red Sox defeated the Texas Rangers 5-0.
Regarding teams that could be interested in him, Kerry Miller of Bleacher Report named the New York Mets as one. He added that the Mets might be interested in bringing Pete Alonso back during the offseason if he opts out of his deal, but that the Mets could use some corner infield help, depending on what happens over the next few months.

The scoring profiles for both clubs suggest a better deserved record for the Red Sox and a lesser one for the Rangers. Boston has thus far played .500 baseball despite scoring 4.89 runs per game while allowing 4.53. Texas has registered a .486 win percentage while averaging 3.32 RPG and yielding 3.73.
Nathan Eovaldi struck out seven over six strong innings, Texas belted out 16 hits in their first game since adding Bret Boone as a hitting coach and the Rangers beat the Boston Red Sox 6-1 on Tuesday night.
"But wouldn't it also make a lot of sense for Chaim Bloom — who was chief baseball officer when the Red Sox signed the extension with Devers, and in the process of succeeding John Mozeliak as the Cardinals' president of baseball operations — to do whatever it takes to get his man?" Miller says.
