The fastest-growing sport in the U.S., pickleball, is popping up on Royal Caribbean cruise ship activity schedules more often these days. On some sailings, passengers can sign up for intro clinics to learn the basics of the paddle sport, which combines a bit of tennis, badminton and ping-pong into one game.

Royal Caribbean is continuing its efforts to create safer onboard experiences by banning certain items from its ships. The cruise line recently put baby monitors back on the banned listand banned camouflage clothing while warning passengers of potential fines.

Passengers are not always mindful of how their behavior impacts the people around them. On most any cruise ship, passengers get frustrated by “chair hogs,” or people who try to claim a pool deck lounge chair for an extended period of time by leaving their belongings on it and then disappearing.
