Parts of the state devastated by flash floods that left over 100 people dead over the holiday weekend braced for more heavy rains as forecasters extended flood warnings through Monday evening.

As the urgent search continues, questions and calls for accountability are growing as to how many of these communities were caught by surprise. Many are also questioning why neighborhoods and camps along the Guadalupe River were not told to evacuate earlier.
