Every year, for 2K Games’ annual NBA basketball game, a new player is chosen as its cover star. The process for exactly how the athletes are selected isn’t public knowledge, so for the most part, it’s often a guessing game on the fan’s part.

Wednesday we got our first look at the three stars that will make up the four different NBA 2K26 covers -- Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Angel Reese and Carmelo Anthony.  Gilgeous-Alexander adds 2K cover athlete to his list of accomplishments this year,

The Chicago Sky forward was named the cover athlete for the NBA 2K26 WNBA Edition video game coming out in September.
