A Beauregard Parish man who served on several parish boards is facing a charge of forgery in Calcasieu Parish.

A judge on Thursday is set to hear arguments that a Chickasaw man convicted of capital murder did not get a fair trial because the judge who presided over the trial should not have been on the bench.
