It appears a community outcry over a proposed 300-foot broadcasting tower in Beersheba Springs was somewhat successful in diminishing the size of its intrusion on the area’s scenic beauty.
The Grundy County Sheriff's Office says it investigated the source of a loud boom heard by residents across the area near Dresden Road on Friday night.
Several 911 calls of a loud "boom" in Grundy County prompted law enforcement to investigate, according to a Facebook post.
