Dozens of residents were left without a home after a fire at the Independence Ridge Apartments took over many units, destroying an entire building of the complex.

The Independence community is stepping in to help the 32 families displaced by a deadly fire at Indy Ridge Apartments.

Residents of the Independence Ridge Apartments continued to pick up the pieces Thursday, a day after a fire tore through a building, leaving a family of four dead.
