At his introductory press conference on Thursday, the new Tar Heels coach gave the reasons why he decided to make the jump to college football.

It was reported that Belichick put together an “organizational bible” for UNC that included stipulations for his hiring. He was asked about it in his opening press conference. Of course, he denied it.

Thursday’s press conference at Chapel Hill was kicked off with the school displaying a photo of Belichick as a baby. Belichick grew up around the program while his father, Stephen Belichick, was an assistant coach.
