Three people were killed when the Tesla Cybertruck they were riding in hit a tree and retaining wall in Piedmont, California and burst into flames.

A fatal Tesla Cybertruck incident in Piedmont is being investigated by the National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration and California Highway Patrol after three Piedmont high school graduates died and another was hospitalized.

PIEDMONT, Calif. -- Three people are dead and one is injured after a solo vehicle crash early Wednesday, police say. A Tesla Cybertruck crashed at Hampton road and King Avenue just after 3 a.m., in Piedmont, California.

Three teens who died in a fiery crash in Piedmont on Wednesday have been identified. The victims were all college students home for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Over the weekend, the city of Piedmont released the names and brief statements from the families of three 2023 Piedmont High School graduates who died in a fiery Cybertruck crash on the day before Thanksgiving.

Three young individuals – since identified as Soren Dixon, Jack Nelson, and Krysta Tsukahara by the City of Piedmont – were pronounced dead at the scene. The person pulled from the Cybertruck suffered burns and was taken to an area hospital in critical condition but has not been identified. Their current condition is unknown.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has confirmed it’s looking into a recent fatal crash involving a Tesla Cybertruck that killed three teenagers in California late last month.
