Running the classic Doom is a rite of passage for anything that has circuitry these days. When the Nintendo Alarmo released, some pondered when someone would get Doom running on it, and that has now happened.

Nintendo's Alarmo alarm clock was hacked and made to run the shareware version of Doom by Twitter user GaryOderNichts, who uploaded a gameplay video of the completed job to a Twitter thread earlier this week.

A few days after describing how it was possible to load custom firmware on a Nintendo Alarmo, GaryOderNichts shared a video showing Doom running on the alarm clock, and posted instructions to GitHub for anyone looking to do the same with their own device.
