During the holiday weekend more than 1,300 fireworks were confiscated in Abingdon following a report of an illegal fireworks show, according to the Maryland State Fire Marshal.

Delaware State Fairgrounds (18500 S. DuPont Highway, Harrington) on July 17. Harness racing starts at 5 p.m., followed by fireworks that same evening/night.
