Gautam Adani has responded to $265 million bribery charges by US authorities, stating that past challenges have made his company tougher. The allegations are deemed baseless. Adani Group intends to seek legal recourse.

Adani, 62, one of Asia’s richest men, was thrust into the spotlight last week when U.S. prosecutors in New York charged him and seven of his associates with securities fraud.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), in an official statement, said that the government has no role in the legal proceedings involving Adani-linked entities in the United States.
