Mumbai Crime Branch has alleged the Bandra Police of not taking the attack on actor Saif Ali Khan by an intruder seriously and not promptly alerting the other units like the Government Railway Police (GRP) to block his possible escape routes.

Actor Saif Ali Khan underwent surgery after being stabbed during a robbery in his Mumbai apartment. While no arrests have been made, over 30 police teams are investigating. The incident has also sparked debate about the law and order situation in Mumbai.

Even after almost 48 hours, the Mumbai police have not been able to track down the man who stabbed actor Saif Ali Khan in his penthouse at Bandra (W). The investigation has yielded no significant leads so far,
