Parts of the Ohio Valley are now included in a slew of winter weather alerts issued across the Great Lakes, mid-Atlantic and Northeast.

In western New York, expect widespread rain, said Meteorologist Phillip Pandolfo of the National Weather Service in Buffalo. Some wet flakes could fly in the air, but any potentially measurable snow would be directly to higher terrain areas south of Rochester - including the Bristol Hills area and the Southern Tier.
