The PGA Tour's Genesis Scottish Open begins on Thursday in North Berwick, where the top players on tour will compete at the Renaissance Club.
Robert MacIntyre won the 2024 Gensis Scottish Open. The Scottish native finished 18 under par, beating second place by 1 stroke. MacIntyre returns to defend his homeland championship. He is currently ranked 14 on the Official World Golf Rankings.
World number one Scottie Scheffler is in town, as is Masters champion Rory McIlroy and new US Open champion JJ Spaun. MacIntyre will defend his title in front of a partisan home crowd and he will be in good company from the off, grouped with Scheffler and last year’s runner-up Adam Scott on the first day.
