A jury has awarded $11 million to a Philadelphia man whose holstered Sig Sauer pistol went off while he was going down the stairs.

After a three-week trial, the jury concluded that the gun manufacturer was negligent for selling a defective gun and holster.

The case is one of scores of lawsuits filed across the country alleging defects in the the Sig Sauer P320 cause the gun to unintentionally fire.
