Wimbledon 2025 has had its moments of drama. Aryna Sabaleka, the world's #1 tennis player, helped deliver her share of it when she won a tense match against German Laura Siegemund, Sabalenka said after the July 8 match that she thought she was going to lose after the first set.

Tuesday's women's quarterfinal between No. 1 seed Aryna Sabalenka and Germany's Laura Siegemund reached the deciding third set.

Aryna Sabalenka was dangerously close to suffering a shock Wimbledon quarterfinal exit but ultimately managed to avoid that scenario after creating a major comeback to beat world No. 104 Laura Siegemund 4-6 6-2 6-4 in nearly three hours of play.
