Still counting its dead, Hezbollah faces long road to recover from war
Hezbollah conducted a lot of reconstruction work after the 2006 war, financed by Iran and using its construction wing. The project was directed by Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, a Hezbollah leader killed by Israel 11 days after Nasrallah, in a sign of the bigger challenges it will face this time round.
The Israel-Hezbollah war by the numbers
Here’s a look at the conflict by the numbers: More than 3,800 people in Lebanon have been killed, many of them civilians. More than 80 Israeli soldiers have been killed, and 47 civilians in Israel. Damage in Lebanon is estimated at $8.5 billion including at least 100,000 homes. In Israel, around 5,683 acres of land have burned.
Israeli strikes continue amid cease-fire deal with Hezbollah
The IDF said it conducted a strike on military infrastructure sites near the border crossings between Lebanon and Syria, calling it a response to cease-fire violations.
