Jul 5, 2003 · Origional GM POA valves are not rebuildable, they were crimped together. Now the VIR valve assy is rebuildable, it has a couple of o-rings and a dessicant bag in it. Now go back even farther and the STV valve is rebuildable, a diaphram and a stiff spring!

Sep 3, 2010 · I tried the POA test that is outlined in the sevice manual (dipping the temp bulb in ice water). The first time I tried it the low side pressure dropped to 30 from 39, went back to 39 when taken out of the ice.
