Sep 2, 2023 · Honestly, they can easily have Hachi still appear in the Sabaody Arc even if he didn’t appear in the Arlong Arc and the Strawhats meet him for the first time in the Sabadoy Arc (IF the series ever reached that far). Live action is already full of original material and can easily make up a reason why Hachi wasn’t in the Arlong Arc.

That's why Jinbe felt so guilty about it all until she explained her beef is only with the people who did it. This is why I am glad they avoided Hachi in the LA because that forgiveness was too unrealistic (even in a show with a Rubber Man). The most logical reason would be that he is considered an active observer.

Hachi definitely did evil things in the past. I don't think he should be forgiven because he was passive participant (which as you pointed out he was), or because he feels bad about it but because he's taken taken redemptive actions. But it's up to individuals whether to forgive him, Nami has and he's now considered an ally and friend of the crew.

So it can be assumed that they were way closer. The circumstances behind the crew splitting up should also be considered.

It’s pricey for a TV show, but it also has the challenge of representing the world of One Piece in LA. It still has a lower budget than Stranger Things S4, which averaged $30 million per episode.

The fact that half death Zoro can still fight a Arlong officer despite Fishmen are stated to be x10 stronger than humans breaks inmersion. I guess he was cutted or merely appeared with other appereance (only two arms) and less relevance because budget. But aside of it.
