Jul 18, 2019 · The Weaver Model K4 series was manufactured from 1947 until the close of business in 1984. No other scope topped more rifles during that period. It was the most popular and is still the most famous hunting scope ever made. That said, the K4 had many renditions through its reign.

Dec 14, 2016 · There is a listing for a nice older Weaver K4 with a rectical that I have wanted for years a post & crosshair not a long range scope. My thoughts was to either put it on my Marlin 1894C .357 or Marlin 336 30-30.

Sep 19, 2007 · They were good scopes then and now. The first scope I had was a K-4 with a fine crosshair. A lot of the Waever original scopes were made before the duplex reticle came along. I purchased a mint K4 & had it refur to include a post & crosshair style reticle.

Aug 19, 2024 · For fine wire cross hair, the Leupold 3-9x32 AO has a very fine cross hair (yes the duplex is fatter, but it's way out of the aiming area). For less expensive, I tried both Vortex and Hawke scopes and their cross hair was very fat comparatively and I returned them.
